Pierre Dees is a contemporary singer/ songwriter emerging from the Detroit music scene. His style blurs the line between R&B and hip-hop. And though some may categorize him as “Urban Contemporary”, Pierre likes to think of his music as “Urban Soul”, the rebirth of songs that touch you emotionally. Songs that make you happy, songs that make you cry, songs that bring back memories of special moments in your life. Pierre’s passion for singing was nurtured by an upbringing surrounded by music. At an early age he was exposed to various styles of music by his father, a musician, that plays both the piano and guitar. Even then, Pierre knew that music was destined to be a major part of his life. His career began by performing at local talent shows, where he won the grand prize on more than one occasion. It wasn’t long before he was in the studio recording the vocal hook for the single “Pure and Uncut” by local Detroit group “Menace To Society”. This was Pierre’s first professional credit, and he was determined to make sure, that many more followed. In March of 1998, Pierre’s dream of becoming a star took a step closer to becoming a reality. It was a chance meeting with producer/ label CEO F. L. Freeman of 111 Entertainment L.L.C. that lead to several years of artist development. Training on songwriting, production and various aspects of the business. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with a group of individuals who are business savvy, artistic, proficient and dedicated to seeing to it that myself and 111 Entertainment are represented in the best way possible”. In 2002 Pierre’s talents took him to New York City where his performance in a talent showcase and received good reviews. A showcase in Las Vegas for a large music conference soon followed as well as a Labor Day performance at the Michigan State Fair. Now with the release of his self-titled CD “Pierre”, listeners can enjoy a personal performance. A soundtrack that stirs their every emotion.
