Ajimu developed a love for music at the young age of 3. Realizing a god given talent, Ajimu began singing in a choir as a source of joy and inspiration.

Vibing from the musical prowess of such artists as Mary J., Boyz to Men, Jodeci and R. Kelly, Ajimu propelled himself into his first singing group experience. By age 25, Ajimu entered into his first recording deal for a compilation project. He has since won local talent shows and recorded his first singles "Don't Rush" and "PHD", both written by Ajimu himself.
